Ravi Parmar is the BC NDP candidate for Langford-Highlands and the sitting MLA. He won a 2023 by-election in Langford-Juan de Fuca succeeding John Horgan, was re-elected in 2024 for Langford-Highlands, and serves as Minister of Forests and Deputy Government House Leader. He previously was Parliamentary Secretary for International Credentials. Raised in Langford by immigrant parents, he studied political science at the University of Victoria and spent nearly a decade as chair of the Sooke School District Board of Education, becoming one of the youngest board chairs in B.C.
