BC Election
About
Gracie MacDonald is the BC Green candidate for Mid Island-Pacific Rim, filed with Elections BC for the October 24, 2026 election. The party describes her as executive director of a community school society on Denman Island, including its food bank, and as a board member of a Denman affordable-housing nonprofit. She has been an elementary principal and has taught kindergarten through Grade 12 on Vancouver Island; earlier she was a journalist and a partner in an organic food business. She holds a Master of Education from the University of Victoria and an undergraduate degree from Concordia University. A BC Green of the same name ran in Saanich South in 2001 (3,823 votes); sources checked here do not confirm that was the same person.
