Rick Glumac is the sitting BC NDP MLA for Port Moody-Burquitlam (previously Port Moody-Coquitlam), first elected in 2017 and re-elected in 2020 and 2024. An SFU electronics engineering graduate, he worked in computer graphics and visual effects (including ReBoot and films such as Shrek 2) before serving on Port Moody city council from 2011. Provincially he has been Parliamentary Secretary for Technology, Minister of State for Trade, and since 2025 Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence and New Technologies. He is seeking re-election in 2026.
