An Aldergrove resident for more than a decade (Fraser Valley for about 25 years), she is a registered pharmacy technician and a single parent who has been studying public policy and geography with a focus on climate and sustainability. Shelly Jan
Shelly Jan is the OneBC candidate for Langley-Abbotsford, filed with Elections BC for the October 24, 2026 election after OneBC had named her. She ran for the BC Conservatives in Langley in 2020 (1,936 votes); that campaign biography said she had worked in education, health care, and with young people. In June 2024 she was the runner-up, reported as Shelly Jan Semmler, for the Conservative nomination in Langley-Abbotsford (150 votes to Harman Bhangu’s 220). She later filed as an independent and withdrew on October 1, 2024, after ballots were printed, so her name stayed on the ballot while officials told voters she had withdrawn.
